I retired from Harper College a few years ago and took up ceramics in search of my artistic side.  In the past couple of years, I feel that I've been able to experiment in many ways with clay  (throwing, hand building, screen-printing, drawing, painting and scraffito).  I have just started carving in the last year and feel this may be my passion.  I really enjoy the way these 3 vases have turned out.  I have found that each time I carve a piece, I lose myself in the piece, almost like being in a dream.  I love it because it brings me joy.
