Myk Little
I live in Chicago now, but I'm a small town guy from Latham, Illinois - population 400. My passion for showing people how I see the world through photographs started in middle school. My father enjoyed photography as a hobby and I learned the basics of taking the "right" shot by watching him.

After high school, I studied black and white film photography at Richland Community College. In 1999, I moved to Chicago to pursue a career, unfortunately not in my creative field. About 5 years ago I got back into the arts, thanks to social media, which has made it easier to find a supportive audience and peer group for my work.

I'm influenced everyday by something different. I'm inspried by architecture and nature, along with the coexistence of color and pattern. Sometimes I'm inspired by the ordinary things that most poeple just pass by.

After 20 years of working in retail, I quit my job and went back to school at Harper College. I have one more semester and I'll have an associates degree in graphic design and a certificate in digital photography. I'm looking forward to utilizing my creative skills on my next chapter in my life.
