My name is Megan Schalk, I have been writing for ten years. Writing had been so therapeutic for me over the years. There have been many moments in my life where writing as just about saved my very sanity. I don't know what else I would do with out it.

     The Truth

This peice is realistic fiction. I have experienced an event very similar to the story I have written. The LGTBQ community is very under represented in literature, being bisexual and an author I think of it as my duty to normalize LGTBQ relationship in literature. Romance is not all lust and steam. The same is true for same sex relationship, they have hardships as well as triuphs just like any other relationship goes. I wanted my experiences to lend themselves to my story, and give people outside of the LGTBQ community a understanding that same sex couple are the same as heterosexual couples.
