Gene Zielnicki has a background in art education and taught in an elementary school for 10 years. Primarily a painter, she has recently explored the versatility of clay. Gene has been taking Sam Rosby's Ceramics class here at Harper College and she especially enjoys working with porcelain.

     From Mother, with Love XOXO

From Mother, with Love XOXO is a hand-built porcelain replica of a little toy dresser given to me by my birth mother when I was 6 or 7 years old. She died not long after. The bottom drawer contains the ashes of the wood original, which I ceremoniously burnt.
