I love to be creative. Writing, painting, photography, you name it. My hope is to be working in the film industry as a special effects artist or an animator. But before I discovered art, I loved books. I've loved reading since I was a child, when I read it's like a movie playing in my head, so vivid and real, like I am there watching the characters go through their experiences. As I grew up I noticed that I would rarely pick up a book. There just wasn't any time for it anymore; when I did I would have to clean off the dust that had accumulated on the cover, or find out where I left off long ago.

An in-depth look at their work:

My poem started off as a simple poem of trying to get back to the comforts of old brown couch but as I edited and revised, it turned into fighting to get my stories back; to feel safe and relaxed after all the happenings in daily life. I realize that I'm not going to be able to read as much as I did before (which was a lot) but at least every now and then I can pick up a book and not fear I'll put it down and never see it again. I feel like I captured that pretty well in my poem.
